April Showers, April Flowers

Bluebells after the rain
Bluebells after the rain

The bluebells are loving this long, cool start to spring. My mother-in-law shared these plants with me two years ago, and they're starting to spread themselves out on their own. But she gave me some more from her place this year, and I couldn't have picked better timing for transplanting them.

Bluebells are native to this region, and they're blooming now. Transplanting them in the spring seems to work well. My mother-in-law dug them up at her place and I planted them at my place on the same day, and after a rain, they perked right up.
