Muscari Season

Autocorrect really wanted to change "Muscari" to "Mascara" when I started this post. I feel like "Mascara in the grass" would be a whole different vibe. Last season, because of weather, cicadas, growing cycles, rabbits, and who-knows-what-else, we didn't have too much Muscari, but this season it's just everywhere.

The kiddos made little whimsies to scatter throughout the garden, and now the Muscari looks like an orchard right out of Dr. Seuss for this cute little house. Muscari, in addition to providing much-needed color for the spring garden, smells delightful.
It also comes back most years, last last year notwithstanding, and if you're not too picky about stem length, it makes a nice cut flower as well.
